Several Marin FC former standouts made pivotal contributions to their teams’ NCAA post-season run these past few days.  On the girls’ side, in Division 1, Alexis Tye’s Wisconsin narrowly lost 2-3 to Florida, while Darcy McFarlane’s UNC beat Kansas 2-0 in the Round of 32.  Meanwhile, in Division 3, Thea Harvey-Brown’s Johns Hopkins lost 1-2 to Campbell Day’s Williams in the round of 32.  In the round of 16, Alyssa Huntington’s Middlebury lost 0-3 to Messiah, and Jamie Kerrester’s Pomona-Pitzer beat Wisconsin-Whitewater 3-0.  On the boys’ side, Marin FC’s Dexter Eichorst (pictured) scored the winner for Tufts in their 1-0 win over U-Mass Boston, propelling Tufts to the Elie 8 and a head-to-head with Eli Schwartz’s Kenyon College.
