Marin FC’s B99 Blue team finished off their fall season by only losing one game since Summer Surf Cup and by winning the top bracket at the Surf Cup Thanksgiving College Showcase.  They defeated the #15 ranked team nationally 2 to 0, on the first day, the #3 ranked team 2 to 0 on the second day, and finally the #4 ranked team on the third day.   This was the team’s final “big” tournament as they finish up their last year with Marin FC and they are now ranked #6 nationally.
A continuing and strong collective effort from this team (the very first Academy team for Marin FC when U14s) during their entire FC tenure has resulted in one of, if not the most successful track records for any team in Marin FC’s history.  For several weeks this team held the #1 spot on Got Soccer in the National rankings.   Other previous team accomplishments include; back to back State Cup wins in the top Championship division, two second place Summer Surf Cups, quarter finalist at the Dallas Cup, Western Regional Champions,Nor Cal League Champions, and Semi Finalist and Finalist at the National Cup.
The team has thoroughly enjoyed their time playing together over the years and have very much appreciated the training and national exposure Marin FC has provided.  The result is that over half the team have already committed to top soccer schools (more to come) including: UCs Berkeley and Davis, Brown, Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, Haverford, Babson, and Sonoma State.
