Marin FC's Tryout process follows:

Step One

The Head Coach will submit a Tryout format to the Director of Coaching that supports his or her player assessment goals.  The Director of Coaching will amend or approve the format as required.

Step Two

The Head Coach, assisted by Evaluators and the Club's Director of Coaching, will assess players' qualities in Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological categories.

Step Three

The Head Coach will gather input from Evaluators and the Club's Director of Coaching before selecting the team.  At least 14 players will be selected.  The actual number of players chosen will be determined by competitive equity.

Note:  A team is a collection of individuals that possess different qualities and it is the sum of these qualities that shapes a team.  A team cannot be comprised of players that possess the same qualities.

Step Four

Players will be notified of their status within 72 hours of the final tryout date.
